Contact Centre
At North East Derbyshire we want to make a real difference to the way we serve you. As part of that commitment we have launched a new, state-of-the-art contact centre 'Connect North East', based at the Council offices on Saltergate.
The centre uses the latest communication technology to ensure your call is dealt with speedily and efficiently. Our aim is that one phone call to the Council should give you the answers to all your questions about our services without having to be referred on.
Staff in the centre have already been specially trained to deal with a wide range of enquiries ans should be able to deal with up to 80% of enquiries immediately. However, where Connect North East is unable to respond to the enquiry, the caller will be quickly put through to the relevant department or officer.

Front Reception
The Council has also made important changes to the reception facilities at all its offices. Staff have been trained to deal with a wide range of enquiries from visitors without having to refer customers elsewhere.
Visitors calling at Council House on Saltergate will notice major changes to our reception areas which we hope will make customer contact with us a more pleasant experience.
The Council has created a bright and welcoming reception area, which is easier to use by people with disabilities and which contain a wide range of information about the Council and the District as a whole.
