Talkback Interpreting Service

North East Derbyshire District Council has recently launched a simple to use telephone interpreting service which can be used where language is a barrier for people accessing our services.
You will not be charged for the TalkBack Service.
Dedicated telephone lines are available for the following languages:

When users call the service they will hear a short message in their language. They will then be conferenced with an interpreter and a operator from EITI Ltd (translation service), the organisation providing the service.
The appropriate service that they need to speak with at the District Council will then be contacted and there will be a three way conversation between the user, the district council service and the interpreter.
The District Council have formed a partnership with their neighbouring local authority, Chesterfield Borough Council, to deliver this service.
