Linacre Reservoir & Nature Trails
Three small reservoirs set in an attractive wooded valley, with lakeside walks and trails. Picnic area with car park and toilets nearby.

The Herb Garden
One of the foremost herb gardens in the country, consisting of 4 display gardens. The mixed herb garden boasts an established parterre. The physic, the lavender and the pot pourri garden each have their own special theme and contain many rare and unusual species.
Three miles from Junction 29 of the M1 motorway on the B6039 from Holmewood to Tibshelf.

March to September daily 10.00am - 5.00pm. Closed Tuesday except Easter and Bank Holidays. Tea rooms open Wednesday to Sunday 10.00am - 5.00pm.

Moss Valley (West of Eckington)
Stroll along the banks of the River Moss and see the remains of its industrial past. 'A Walk on the Wild Side' is now a sanctuary for wildlife, with good starting points at Ridgeway Craft Centre and the Bridge Inn car park at Ford.

Troway Hall / Troway Honey Trail
Derbyshire's official Honey Trail with bees enjoying a magnificent countryside of medieval meadows and hedgerows.
Shop with all Bee Products, including Pollen Capsules (hay fever), Bioactive Honey and Propolis Skin Cream to help all allergies/rashes.
Their ancient wild flower meadows are designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI's) and monitored by English Nature - in beautiful North East Derbyshire!
Open most days and weekend but it is often good to phone them first (01246) 292425 to confirm.

Ogston Reservoir
Sited at Woolley Moor, the reservoir covers 200 acres. Leisure facilities include club sailing, wind surfing, trout fishing and two observation hides for Ornithologists.
Picnic tables, car park and toilets are provided.

Disabled Sailing in Derbyshire - The Challenger Disabled Sailing Group
The Challenger Disabled Sailing Group promotes sailing for people with disabilities.
The group’s objectives include organising training and providing special equipment to enable people with disabilities to learn to sail and take part on equal terms with the able-bodied. It aims to help people with disabilities to participate in local, national and international sailing events. Membership of the group is open to people of all ages with varying abilities and to people without disabilities without whose help the group could not operate.

Barlow Trout & Course Fishery
Barlow Fishery is one of the largest complexes in the north of England offering anglers a choice of either fly or coarse fishing in separate lakes. The complex, comprising of holiday cottages, a camping club site, four trout lakes, four coarse lakes and a fresh water brook, is set in a beautiful secluded valley only four miles from Chesterfield and ten miles from Sheffield city Centre.
