Renishaw Hall - Gardens and Museum

A photograph of Renishaw Hall

Renishaw Hall (pictured) was built in 1625 by George Sitwell.  To the south of the house lies Renishaw's Italian-style gardens which contain many rare plants, sculptured pyramid yew hedges, water features and colour co-ordinated flower borders.  These Italianate gardens were laid out at the turn of the 20th Century by Sir George Sitwell, grandfather of the present resident Sir Reresby Sitwell.

Below the gardens is the lakeside woodland walk which takes walkers through mature woodland, past caves and around Renishaw Lake.

Hot and cold meals and refreshments are available throughout the day from the Gallery Cafe, situated in the Georgian Stables.
