Turn Back Time with Technology - on the Ashover Audio Trail
The Ashover Audio Trail is brought to life with interviews from residents whose stories stretch back to the early 20th century. The 1.5 mile route directs listeners to some of the village’s prettiest spots, all steeped in local history. The route takes around two hours to complete, following paths and roads, with some steep sections.
The trail can be downloaded onto an MP3 player, iPod or mobile phone to listen to through headphones as you take in the sights. Full instructions on how to download the trail, along with a map and directions, are available below.
We have joined with Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust to bring you this audio trail which is designed to give an insight into local history while encouraging gentle exercise at the same time.
The trail has been produced by Higham-based company 'Audio Trails' – with the help of the Ashover community past and present.
