How is it paid?
We will credit your council tax account with the amount of benefit due for the rest of the financial year (up to 31st of March).
We will send you a new council tax bill showing the amount you owe after the benefit has been taken off. It will also show you your new instalments (if any).
If you have nothing more to pay we will let you know. If your account goes into credit, we will arrange to refund the overpayment to you.
