Councils
North East Derbyshire District Council
The District Council can advise on planning issues and building regulations if you are constructing, altering or changing the use of any building. The Estates & Valuations section manages council owned commercial properties across North East Derbyshire. The Economic Development Unit can provide statistical information on aspects of the local economy, advice on the availability of sites and premises in the North East Derbyshire District and advice on funding available from European, Government and Lottery programmes.
Chesterfield Borough Council
The Borough Council is responsible for providing a wide range of local services in Chesterfield including planning, estate management, housing and economic development. Derbyshire County Council

Alliance SSP
Alliance SSP is one of seven sub-regional strategic partnerships (SSPs) across the East Midlands responsible for delivering the Region's Economic Strategy (RES) at a sub-regional level through effective partnership working.
Their primary role is to develop, implement and embed strategies that promote enterprise, skills and their underpinnings to ensure that people from all communities can participate in and benefit from economic growth.
CHART Local Strategic Partnership
CHART Local Strategic Partnership covers Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire and is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of the Community Strategy for the area. The Strategy has six themes including Healthy Communities and Well-Being, Crime and Community Safety, Economic and Community Regeneration, Environment and Transport, Homes and Neighbourhoods and Lifelong Learning and Leisure.

East Midlands Development Agency
Exists to attract international inward investment to the East Midlands counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.
