The Bolsover North East Derbyshire LEADER approach has been awarded £2.4 million from the Rural Development Programme for England, until 2013 to improve the rural economies of the area, for Bolsover and North East Derbyshire (excluding Dronfield and Gosforth Valley Wards due to population restrictions).

 

The LEADER Approach Funding is channelled into five main themes:

 

 

 

 

 

  

Grant funding is available for Farmers and Micro-Enterprises up to 50%.  Grants for more than 50% are available in exceptional circumstances and subject to clear evidence of need.

The state aid allowance that applicants can apply for is €200,000.

The Bolsover-North East Derbyshire LEADER Approach has now granted more than £1m worth of European funding to businesses and tourism projects in Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.

Recipients of funding in the CHART LSP area include the Peak Edge and Twin Oaks Hotels, Canine Country Club boarding kennels, North East Derbyshire’s Audio Trails and Marketing the Markets, and Clay Cross business In Control Systems. These and other projects will contribute to the creation of 60 local jobs in the two districts.
