• Two Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) cover the CHART LSP area, Chesterfield Borough CSP and North East Derbyshire CSP, formed to fulfil the requirements of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 with the remit of tackling crime and disorder across their respective areas;
   
• The North Eastern Derbyshire Accessibility Partnership works to develop safe transport infrastructure that gives people more access to services where they need it, whilst working to reduce reliance on car journeys. It is made up of partners, agencies and representatives from both CHART LSP and Bolsover LSP.

 

• The North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw Housing Market Area (HMA) was established in 2005. The HMA governance structure engages with the LSPs, with mutual attendance of representatives at strategic meetings. The HMA Joint Housing Strategy was produced in October 2009 and identifies how the partners will work together to meet the 5 Strategic Objectives which seek to improve the housing quality, choice and support for people in the local area.

 

• CHART LSP has adopted two multi-agency Local Children and Young People’s Partnerships (LCYPPs) covering Chesterfield North East Derbyshire and Bolsover as it’s young person’s focus groups. These groups lead the approach to address the overarching Derbyshire Children and Young People’s Plan.

These groups previously acted as LSP Theme Groups to assist in the delivery of the Sustainable Community Strategy, and will remain engaged within the LSP process. Representatives from the above partnerships under the Safe and Independent banner support the delivery of the Paying Your Way and Healthy Lifestyle Flagship Approaches, ensuring that our service delivery addresses a wide range of needs and aspirations, in accordance with our four guiding principles. Therefore representatives from these partnerships serve on Paying Your Way or Healthy Lifestyles Project Groups, with appropriate input on Task and Finish Groups to deliver specific activities under our focus.

 

Many of the project objectives and activities of these two flagships aim to ensure the Safe and Independent Flagship Approach is fully integrated into service delivery to address gaps and have a direct impact, and provide opportunities for everyone, particularly those people who are socially and financially excluded, or need extra support.

 

Our approach aims to build cohesive and sustainable communities to aspire to a better quality of life, both now and for generations to come. New ways of working in communities and the achievement of mutually beneficial outcomes increase the positive impact of CHART LSP Flagship approach for both beneficiaries of services and the efficiency of partners.
