CHART LSP Theme Groups

The Community Strategy identifies the key aims and objectives which the LSP Theme Groups will work to address.  CHART LSP has 5 Theme Groups that meet to focus on the key issues identified by the community and service providers and to address priorities on particular thematic areas of the Community Strategy.

Each of the Theme Groups has responsibility for developing action plans based on the priorities to ensure delivery of the Community Strategy.  The Theme Group membership consists of key service providers, partners, community representation and any other organisations that can add expertise, service or resources to a particular area of CHART LSP work.  Membership of the Theme Group changes overtime to reflect the activity which is being focused upon.

Each Theme Group reports its progress to the Forum, which is the Board of CHART LSP.  At the Forum, elected political and community members and heads of organisations drive the strategic activity of the LSP forward, and where appropriate sign their organisation up to deliver specific activities or provide necessary support.

The 5 CHART LSP Community Strategy Themes are;

  • Safer, Healthier and Active Communities

  • Working and Learning Communities

  • Sustainable Communities

  • Living Communities

  • Accessible Communities

Cross Theme Issues

Many issues in the community may effect more than one of the above themes. CHART LSP recognises this, and addresses issues by developing activity within the Theme Groups as well as setting up specific working groups made up of members from several Themes. By doing this, Partners can share their expertise to develop new ways of working to more appropriately deliver local services and improve the quality of life for residents, workers and visitors in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire.
