Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Community Strategy
On Thursday 2nd December 2004 the second Community Strategy was launched in the Winding Wheel, which covers the period 2005 - 2015. As was the case with the first Community Strategy it has been developed with and for all the communities that live and work in the area and it describes a vision for the safe, healthy, diverse and prosperous communities that we all want to see. The Strategy sets out the social, environmental and economic improvements that will help us to realise this vision.
The Strategy doesn't tackle everything that needs to be done – all of the partner organisations will continue to provide and improve the huge variety of services that are available already, and where appropriate, develop new ones. We are confident, however, that the plan deals with the highest priorities that will help deliver the most important improvements.
The Strategy is designed to take us forward for the next ten years. Over time, it is likely that priorities will change and communities will want to see different issues tackled. To make sure we stay on track, the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) will continue to listen to and involve local people, reviewing the plan and reporting progress at least once a year. Each of the LSP Theme Groups will produce an Action Plan which will include all the activity that it is undertaking.
