Floating Support Schemes - Care in the Community
A growing number of the Council’s customers receive some form of care in the community.
Community care is about providing care and support for those people who require it, for example because of the effects of mental health issues, alcohol or drug misuse, teenage pregnancies & domestic violence.
The aim is to support people in their own homes wherever this is feasible and sensible, through the right level of intervention and support to enable them to achieve maximum independence and control over their own lives.
