We believe that by working closely with tenants we will really make a difference to council housing in North East Derbyshire, and to the district’s communities and neighbourhoods.
We are keen for you to become involved and tell us what you think.
There are many ways for you to do this, from taking part in an estate walkabout to joining a Tenants’ and Residents’ Group or you can apply to become a member of Rykneld Homes’ Board.
Getting involved in what happens in your local area means that you will be able to have your say about local issues and changes that might affect you.
In turn, this helps us provide the right services in the right place at the right time. It’s our job to do everything we can to make sure you can be proud of your home and neighbourhood. To find out more about how you can get involved please click here to check out our Get Involved leaflet which gives details on how you can help make a difference

Estate Walkabouts
Tenants, residents and community leaders are invited to accompany Rykneld Homes Neighbourhood Champions on walkabouts of individual estates.
Neighbourhood Champions act as Rykneld Homes' “eyes and ears” and continually seek to identify and resolve any issues that affect the quality of the environment where you live. In addition to the existing routine inspections which take place Estate Walkabouts will take place every six months to enable you to monitor our performance in keeping neighbourhoods clean, safe and well maintained, as well as telling us what improvements should be made.
This is your opportunity to have your say on how Rykneld Homes manages your neighbourhood.
To find out when forthcoming estate walkabouts are planned for your area please contact your local area housing office.
