Setting targets and ambitions and managing our performance is vital to ensure that we provide the services we can whilst maintaining value for money.
 
There are a variety of ways in which we manage our performance and our performance is also assessed by outside bodies, including the Audit Commission.
 
We also undertake research projects to get a clearer understanding of our neighbourhoods and communities.
