Leader of the Council - Annual Report 2008/2009

We ended the year on a high as finalists in the Local Government Chronicle Most Improved Council of the Year Award and the Municipal Journal Most Effective Political Team Achievement of the Year category.
 
Highlights have been many and include the launch of innovative projects, transformation of working practices and enhancement of partnerships, strengthened community engagement and realisation of significant efficiencies.
 
Our excellent CPA assessment has been recognised and acknowledged within local government. A number of our teams received national awards and councils from around the UK (and Japan!) are coming to learn how we turned things around in such dramatic fashion.
