Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD Report)

We have completed phase 1 of a Customer Profiling project in partnership with the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) and 12 other local authorities.
 
The project aims to develop a deeper understanding and knowledge of our local communities by gathering detailed information about our citizens and identifying common characteristics, i.e. age, health, wealth, employment, and then linking this to a range of information relevant to service delivery mechanisms and community engagement - geographiocal areas, behaviours and access preferences.
 
This will provide us with vital information to understand and improve the experiences of different groups when accessing Council services and help us target services to meet the needs of the District's most deprived communities. In addition the profiling work supports the collation of trend data to predict change over time and plan future services.
 
This is sponsored by the department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) and uses MOSAIC software.
