NEDDC's Use of Resources Assessments
The use of resources (UoR) judgements assess how well councils manage and use their financial resources. The assessment focuses on the importance of having sound and strategic financial management to ensure that resources are available to support the council’s priorities and improve services. It makes judgements in five areas:
- financial reporting;
- financial management (including asset management);
- financial standing;
- internal control; and
- value for money.
This assessment is undertaken yearly at all councils.
