My name is Graham Baxter, I am a Councillor representing Dronfield North Ward and am the leader of North East Derbyshire District Council.
I was elected in 1983 and represent the Labour Party.

A bit about me...
In 1966 I married Christine and we have two sons. We moved to Dronfield in 1975, and we really enjoy living in the area.
I have been your District and Town Councillor since 1983.
In 1995 I had the honour of being the Mayor of the first Labour controlled Dronfield Town Council
Since July 2004 I have been the Leader of North East Derbyshire District Council ensuring that matters concerning Dronfield are kept at the forefront of Council business
I represent the District and Town council on a number of outside bodies including Derbyshire Sports, Thomas Taylor Charities and Dronfield Station Action Group.
I am one of the four Labour Leaders in the country sitting on the District Council Network Executive advising the Local Government Association on Policy matters.
A lifetime member of the Trade Union Amicus (Unite), I am a Trustee of the Dronfield Contact Trades and Labour Club.
In June 2010 I was privileged to be made a Member of the British Empire (MBE) for services to Local Government and in February 2011 I was nominated and won Councillor Leader of the year at the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU).

I am also the Leader of the Labour Group on the Council.
