Welcome to my web page
My name is Paul Malcolm Fountain Broadhead and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Tupton Ward.
I was elected in 1991 and I am an independent elected member.
I hope you find the information you need on my web page, but if not please contact me - my details are at the bottom of the page.
A bit about me...
I have worked as a technical journalist, marketing and management consultant, although this side of my life is currently on hold. I have also worked on software development at IBM and edited a business newspaper in Bristol.
In addition to my wife, who, like myself is a member of Tupton Parish Council, my family comprises a son, who lives in the West Country and a daughter who lives in Luton with her husband and two children. Plus, of course, the dog.
I am a member of the National Trust and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, with a keen interest in animal welfare and the protection of the countryside. I also have a consuming interest in Real Ale, with a desire to try as many as possible.
Council Groups and Committees
I am a member of the following:
Licensing Committee
Planning Committee
I am also vice chair of the Healthy Communities and Well Being Scrutiny Committee
How Can I Help?
My aim as a local councillor is to serve the residents of Tupton and North East Derbyshire as a whole, but I can only do that if you let me know how I can help you.
I do not hold regular surgeries at present, but am always available for contact by telephone or by calling at my home.
