My name is Peter Elliott and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Brampton and Walton Ward.
I was elected in 2007 and represent the Conservative Party.

A bit about me...
I have lived in Cutthorpe for the past 22 years and I have been elected as Parish Councillor for the past 15 yreas, dealing with a varied array of local issues. I have found this work interesting and very rewarding.
In May 2007 I was elected as district councillor for Brampton and Walton ward, I am particularly proud of this achievement as this was my first attempt standing for this position.
I have been elected to chair the management team for the local village institute, this entails ensuring we utilise the hall for the benefit of the local community keeping it maintained and up to the current safety standards whilst generating some revenue to upkeep the facilities.
Since 2002, I have sat as a governor for Cutthorpe primary school. This I find a very important role, engaging the children in all aspects of school life making sure they have a safe and comfortable environment in which to learn. After all they only have one chance at a good education!!!!
I have been married for 17 years and have 2 wonderful girls. My hobbies are swimming, golf and badminton although my children keep me busy with many other varied activities.
