Welcome to my web page
My name is Terry Moon and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Pilsley & Morton Ward.
I was elected in 1977-95 and 2003 and again in May 2011. I am an independent elected member.
I hope you find the information you need on my web page, but if not please contact me - my details are at the bottom of the page.
A bit about me...
I have lived in the North East Derbyshire area for 40 years. I retired as a Head of Physical Education at Shirebrook Comprehensive School in 1989, and then worked for just over 10 years as a supply teacher, finally retiring from teaching in 2000.
I have been a member of Pilsley Parish Council for 34 years, and was elected Chair in May 2011. I have also been a member of Stretton Parish Council for 8 years.
My main hobbies are hill walking, gardening, listening to classical music and reading. In the past 8 years my 3 grown-up children have produced 5 grandchildren.
I do not hold regular surgeries at set venues but do organise "street surgeries" where I am available in Pilsley village at pre-stated times. I am also available at most times as I live in the centre of Pilsley.
Committees, Groups and Outside Bodies
I am a member of the following:
Member Development Working Group
Local Development Framework Steering Group
I am the Leader of the Independent Group on the Council.
How Can I Help?
My aim as a local councillor is to serve the residents of Pilsley and Morton and North East Derbyshire as a whole, but I can only do that if you let me know how I can help you.
You can contact me at home using the details below or complete the enquiry form to get in touch online.
