My name is Terry Moon and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Pilsley & Morton Ward.
I was elected in 1977-95 and 2003 and I am an independent elected member.

A bit about me...
All my working life was as a PE teacher. The last 17 years of my career was as Head of PE, Health & Leisure at Shirebrook Comprehensive School.
My priority aims as an elected member are to ensure that the villages in my ward (Pilsley, Morton, Handley, Woolley Moor, Stretton and Ogston) receive the services to which they are due, to help constituents with their problems, to lobby on their behalf when appropriate and to be readily available.
I walk around the villages in my ward listening to peoples' concerns and note things that require council attention such as fly-tipping, missing street names, vandalized playground equipment etc.
My main hobbies are hill walking, gardening, listening to classical music and reading. In the past 8 years my 3 grown-up children have produced 5 grandchildren.
