Welcome to my web page
My name is David Mortimer and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Gosforth Valley Ward.
I was elected in 1995 and represent the Liberal Democrats.
I hope you find the information you need on my web page, but if not please contact me - my details are at the bottom of the page.
A bit about me...
My working background is in banking and I seek to use that experience when undertaking my duties as Chair of the Audit and Governance Scrutiny Committee.
Since joining the Council in 1995, following early retirement, I have served on many committees as different times including long membership of the Planning Committee and Chairing a Scrutiny Committee.
The main focus of my Council membership is to serve the residents of North East Derbyshire and particularly those living in the Gosforth Valley ward of Dronfield.
Outside the Council, and my family, my main interest is in choral music, having been an active member of Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus for over thirty years.

I am also the Chair of the Audit & Governance Scrutiny Committe and Member Champion representing the Liberal Democrats at the Member Development Working Group.
