Welcome to my web page
My name is Doug Oxspring and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Dronfield South Ward.
I was elected in 2007 and represent the Conservative Party.
I hope you find the information you need on my web page, but if not please contact me - my details are at the bottom of the page.
A bit about me...
I have several hobbies the main ones being allotment gardening and watching football (used to play but now far to old). I have a season ticket for Sheffield Wednesday which I have had for 30 odd years.
I am chairman of the Dronfield Horticultural Society and am responsible for the running of the four council owned allotment sights in Dronfield. I spend many a happy hour on my allotment and grow 95% of all the vegetables that we eat at home, so my third hobby is food especially the eating of (which is well indicated by my shape).
My aims as a councillor are pretty straight forward I wish to serve the area to the best of my ability and to use my position to solve as many problems as possible put forward by the local parishioners. I particularly like my involvement with the licensing sub committee on taxis and my involvement with the Dronfield Road Safety group both of these with the aims of making the area a better and safer place to live.
