My name is Philip Blackburn and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing Coal Aston Ward.
I was elected in 2007 and represent the Conservative Party.

A bit about me...
I was born in 1971 and have 2 children who both attend The Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School. I work at Bristol Street Motors in Chesterfield.
Having lived in Dronfield for over 30 years I know many of the people living around and about me, and understand how they, as I, feel about this wonderful place we live in. I hope that in some small way I can help to keep Coal Aston and Dronfield as nice, decent and safe a place to live as it is and has always been. I am no longer Dronfield Town Mayor and I am in my 2nd term as Coal Aston District and Parish Councillor.
In the very short time I have been a Councillor, I have found that one of the most difficult things to so is interact with residents, to inform them what we are doing and what we would like to do.
I really do hope that people will use this innovative new service to allow them to get the help and information they need. Although many of us are affiliated to different political parties, I know I speak for all Councillors when I say that the most important thing for us is the local communities we serve and its residents, who ultimately, we were elected by.
