My name is Dorothy Ward and I am a North East Derbyshire District Councillor representing North Wingfield Central Ward.
I was elected in 1976-87 and 1991 and represent the Labour Party.

A bit about me...
I have been a councillor for many years representing Pilsley for 3 years and then North Wingfield.
I have served on Environmental Health and Housing committees, chairing both of these and I have been Chair of Council.
I have always been interested in those departments, but lately (since 1995) I have been involved in Planning.
I am also a Parish Councillor, School Governor and for 5 years I was Chairman of the Joint Crematorium Committee.
I am a retired nursery nurse, with 5 grown up children, 5 grandchildren and 1 very new great grandchild.
My interests are children and travel, and working to make North Wingfield a better place for its residents.
