Voting by Post or Proxy Voting
Anyone can now vote by post if they wish. If you would like to vote by post all you have to do is fill in an application. You can either download the one attached, or contact us for a copy (details below).
When you have made an application for a postal vote, a ballot paper will be sent direct to your home address or to any address you give on your application form. The ballot papers will be sent out on any day in the two weeks before election day. There will be instructions with your ballot paper about how and when to return the vote. You must make sure it is delivered back before the close of poll on polling day.
Alternatively you can arrange for someone to vote for you either at the polling station or by post. This is called proxy voting. You will need to fill in a different form for this method of voting. This form is also attached for downloading or again you can contact us on the above number.
