About Wingerworth Parish Council
A former estate village close to Chesterfield, Wingerworth is today an attractive residential area set amidst undulating wooded countryside providing pleasant walks. The village, located on the original Roman road 'Ryknield Street', was once the seat of the Hunloke family, who built the grandiose Wingerworth Hall, of which only the subsidiary buildings remain.
Wingerworth Parish Council is responsible for a variety of functions including village greens, allotments, churchyards, the local parish hall and much more.
