The Cabinet Member Portfolio Scheme
This sets out the areas of Cabinet Functions for which individual members of the Cabinet have responsibility and take decisions. The portfolios are set by the Leader of the Council and can be changed by him/her.
1. Shared portfolio areas
Where an area is shared between two or more members of the Cabinet, the decision maker must consult the other relevant member(s) unless the decision is urgent. If the decision is urgent, the decision maker may make the decision alone.
