Current Consultations
Derbyshire Broadband Survey
The ‘Derbyshire Broadband Survey’ is designed to give everyone living and working in Derbyshire a chance to share their internet experience. Across Derbyshire there are people who cannot receive a broadband service or if they can the service is patchy. The County Council wants to identify where in Derbyshire the telecommunications provision is weakest so that they assess the extent of the problem and the demand for improved broadband services in particular areas. The consultation is open until 30th April 2012 and you can take part by telephone by contacting Call Derbyshire on 08456 058 058 or online by visiting the Derbyshire County Council website.
Future of Youth Activities in Derbyshire
Derbyshire County Council is consulting residents on the future provision of youth activities in Derbyshire. North East Derbyshire District Council would like to encourage you to give your views as the changes planned could affect the young people in your family or where you live. Under the proposals Derbyshire County Council would:
- continue to provide qualified youth workers to support vulnerable young people and families facing difficulties.
- no longer provide front-line activities for teenagers including youth clubs and its mobile service
- set up a Youth Activities Grants scheme to support new projects, voluntary, community and independent groups.
- carry out a review of its youth centres to transfer or dispose of the buildings.
The consultation is open until 18th March 2012 and you can take part by visiting Derbyshire County Council website or by telephone by contacting Call Derbyshire on 08 456 058 058.
