Consultation and Community Involvement

There are many ways in which you can 'have your say' at North East Derbyshire District Council.

Current Consultation

Find out more about some of the different consultation exercises currently taking place at the Council. For more information please visit our Current Consultation page, on the new 'Ask Derbyshire' website.

Citizens Panel

The Citizens Panel is a group of 1000 North East Derbyshire District residents who are picked at random to give their views on the Council and its services.  Find out more about the Citizens Panel by visiting our Citizens Panel page.

Youth Panel

Chesterfield Borough Council and North East Derbyshire District Council want to involve more young people in improving our area as a place to live and grow up.

We are looking for young people aged between 8 and 19 to join a panel of young people who will give us their views and make things happen.

To find out more or sign up, visit our Youth Panel page.

Open Meetings

The Council holds different meetings throughout the year, many of which are open to the public. We are keen to involve everybody with an interest in the meeting topics and particularly want to take into account views of service users and the public. For more information please visit our Open Meetings page.

Tenants and Resident Groups

The Council  is trying to involve as many council house tenants as possible in the running of the Housing Service.  One of the best ways of finding out what the issues are on estates is for tenants to join a tenants and residents group.  If you would like more information or would like to take part, details are on the Rykneld Homes website.

Housing Viewpoint

To enable North East Derbyshire District Council's Housing Department to consult with a representative sample of their tenants, it was decided to recruit a Tenants' Panel.  This Panel allows access to a randomly selected and representative pool of NEDDC's tenants for consultation purposes.

Housing Viewpoint was established in May 2005 and consists of 800 people selected to represent, as accurately as possible, the tenant population of North East Derbyshire.

If you are interested in becoming involved in this panel, please visit the Housing Consultation page.
