The Strategic Alliance Joint Committee was set up in March 2011 to take forward the Council’s strategic alliance with Bolsover District Council including the development of a strategic transformation programme covering both councils.
The Joint Committee comprises 18 members (nine from each council) and is politically balanced in line with legislative requirements. The members of the Committee are:

The Joint Committee is chaired by Councillor E Watts and the vice-chair is Councillor G Baxter MBE. Chairmanship of the Joint Committee will alternate annually between the two councils.
