Hundreds of new courses starting in January 2009
Our new programme of courses for January 2009 is now available.

To find out what is on offer:

• Pick up a free course brochure available from your local adult community education centre, library and other local venues.

• View or download a copy from the Spring 2009 brochure page.

• Reserve a copy now by contacting Call Derbyshire on 08 456 058 058.

• Find a course near to where you live enter the course search (opens in a new window). Courses with a September start date will be available from 21 July.

If you enrol and pay for your course before 9 January 2009 you will get a discount of 50 per cent per cent off the advertised price.

Please note that your course has to start in January and the offer does not include exam fees, some full cost and day courses.

So don’t delay contact your local Adult Community Education Centre for details.

The online enrolment and payment facility is temporarily unavailble, although information regarding courses can still be found using the course search menu.

Derbyshire Gold Card

Derbyshire Gold Card holders get a generous 15 per cent discount off the cost of non-vocational courses (those that do not have an exam) and there are lots of other good reasons to get a Gold Card. So, if you are a Derbyshire resident aged 60 or over, or have a certain type of disability, please visit the Gold Card section to find out more.

Taking action to be greener

We are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint with the following actions:

• Reducing energy use in our centres

• Increasing recycling

• Promoting courses and events that focus on sustainability

• Using innovative ideas to get green ideas included in as many of our courses as possible

• We are planning to further develop our College of the Peak activity by building a new Eco Centre which will act as a regional and national showcase for sustainable development.
