Report a Stray Dog to the Dog Warden
If you have found a dog, try to keep it contained if possible. If the dog looks dangerous then report its position to our Dog Wardens.
DO NOT TRY AND CONTAIN A DANGEROUS DOG!
You must contact the NEDDC Dog Control Team up to 5pm Monday to Friday.
As of Saturday 5th April 2008, North East Derbyshire and Bolsover District Council Dog Wardens will be working together on a rota to pick up stray dogs after 5pm.
Any dogs found in the areas of Bolsover District Council or North East Derbyshire District Council should be reported to Bolsover District Council's Contact Centre on 01246 242424 which will issue a recorded message with another telephone number to ring if there is an emergency and a stray dog is found out of office hours.
These arrangements do not apply to dogs found within Chesterfield Borough Council's area. Dogs found in Chesterfield Borough's area should be reported on 01246 345345 during normal working hours Monday to Friday.
