Licensing Act 2003 - Fees
Premises
Each premises that is licensable will be allocated a fee band (Bands A to E) according to rateable value. Each band attracts a different level of application fee and a different level of annual fee – payable one year after the grant of the licence.
Premises in bands D and E attract a multiplier where the use of the premises is exclusively or primarily in the business of selling alcohol for consumption on the premises, this does not apply to Club Premises Certificates.

- Band A - No rateable value to £4,300
Application Fee - £100 Annual Fee - £70
- Band B - £4,301 to £33,000
Application Fee - £190 Annual Fee - £180
- Band C - £33,001 to £87,000
Application Fee - £315 Annual Fee - £295
- Band D - £87,001 to £125,000
Application Fee - £450 Annual Fee - £320
Multiplier X2 = £900 Multiplier X2 = £640
- Band E - £125,001 and above
Application Fee - £635 Annual Fee - £350
Multiplier X3 = £1,905 Multiplier X3 = £1,050
Exceptionally Large Events
The Licensing Authorities will also be able to charge an additional premises fee for exceptionally large events:

Miscellaneous Exemptions
If one of the following establishments wishes to provide regulated entertainment only and does not wish to provide late night refreshment or sell alcohol, no fee is payable.
A school or a college and the regulated entertainment on the premises is carried out by an educational institution for and on behalf of the educational institute.
Premises that are or form part of a church hall, chapel hall or other similar building or a village hall, parish hall or community hall or other similar building
Personal Licences, Temporary Events and Other Fees
The Licensing Authorities will also be able to charge other fees in relation to their duties, most notably for temporary events and personal licence:
- Application for a grant of or renewal of personal licence - £37
- Temporary event notice - £21
- Theft, loss, etc. of premises licence or summary - £10.50
- Application for a provisional statement where premises being built - £195.00
- Notification of change of name or address - £10.50
- Application to vary a licence to specify individual as Premises Supervisor - £23
- Application for transfer of a premises licence - £23
- Interim authority notice following death etc. of licence holder - £23
- Theft, loss etc. of certificate or summary - £10.50
- Notification of change of name or alteration of rules of club - £10.50
- Change of relevant registered premises of club - £10.50
- Theft, loss etc. of temporary event notice - £10.50
- Theft, loss etc. of personal licence - £10.50
- Duty to notify change of name or address - £10.50
- Right of freeholder etc to be notified of licensing matters - £21
