North East Derbyshire District Council, Chesterfield Borough Council and Warm Zone are working together in partnership to make your home cosier and help lower your fuels bills.
- People over 70 or claiming certain benefits whether they live in rented or privately owned accommodation and regardless of income can receive cavity wall and loft insulation for FREE.
- Anyone else whether they live in rented or privately owned accommodation and regardless of income can have cavity wall insulation for just £49 and loft insulation from £49
- You can also get advice on how to make your house warmer and save on your energy bills

Our assessors will then visit your property to complete a questionnaire to see if you require loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and any additional assistance in improving the warmth of your home.
The assessors carry photographic identification cards to identify that they work for North Derbyshire Warm Zone and will show you their card when they call.
Warm Front is a government-funded scheme which provides insulation and heating grants to make your home warmer, healthier and more energy efficient.
If you own your home or rent it from a private landlord, and receive certain means-tested or disability benefits, you may be able to claim a contribution of up to £3,500 (or £6,000 if oil central heating or other technologies are recommended) towards energy efficiency improvements for your home.
