Recycling Initiative Get National Publicity

Recycling initiatives in North East Derbyshire received national coverage recently when BBC Radio 4 made a visit to the District.

Reporter Kate Betts interviewed council officers, local residents and Environment portfolio member Councillor Nigel Barker about recycling in North East Derbyshire for the "You and Yours" programme which was aired on Boxing Day.

The programme featured the Council's proactive door knocking scheme where residents are visited by advisors who provide information on recycling - along with other related issues that can save householders money and help the environment, such as energy efficiency measures.
