Constraints to Planning and Development
When we consider any planning application, we have to think about any land restrictions that may affect our decision. These are called 'Planning Constraints':
- Flooding - to find out if your area is at risk of flooding, please type your postcode into the Environment Agency's Flood Risk Webpage.
- Contaminated Land - advice about this is available from the Environment Agency website.
All of the above could all affect a planning application and so could be a planning constraint.
If you are concerned that your application could be affected by a Planning Constraint, either any of those listed above, or something completely different, please get some advice from our Planning Officers before submitting your application.
It is possible to view certain Constraints to Planning via The Derbyshire Mapping Portal
