Get in touch with us before you apply and we may be able to help you with your application, by looking into the site’s planning history or advising on any planning constraints which may affect whether or not permission is needed.
Alternatively, you can download the ‘Do I need Planning Application’ form below, fill it in and send it to us and we will let you now if your proposed alterations will need planning permission.
If you prefer doing things online, the Planning Portal's interactive Virtual House will show you which common household projects require planning permission and gives links to loads of useful information.
Their Guide to the Planning Process offers a brief introduction to the planning system and some explanation of what planning is for and why it is important.
You can also use the portal to apply for planning permission online.
