The National Planning Portal provides guidance and information about planning applications, as well as resources for study and research.
The main parts of the Planning Portal are as follows:
Guide to the Planning Process - offers a brief introduction to the planning system and some explanation of what planning is for and why it is important, explaining why planning controls are necessary and how decisions are made; intended for both householders and business people.
Online Application Forms - You may submit an application on-line via The Planning Portal If you do so please enter North East Derbyshire as location specified.
Appeals against Planning Decisions - if you seek permission to carry out works to your property and your application is not decided within a set period, or you disagree with the Council's decision, you have the right to appeal.
Research and Study - The research section of the Planning Portal is intended to help planners, lawyers, students, academics and others with an in-depth interest in town and country planning; including PPG's and other guidance.
