Planning Policy in North East Derbyshire
The Planning Policy (Local Development Framework) team deals with all matters concerned with the writing and interpretation of planning policies.
Previously, these policies made up a single document, which was known as the Local Plan. However, we are now preparing our Local Development Framework, which is a set of key development documents that sets out how a local area may change over the next few years.
Use the links in the list on the left to find out more about either of these.
The Planning Policy team also, as part of its work in preparing the local plan, identifies sites for particular types of development and areas of open space and countryside which should be protected for a specific reason, for example Green Belt or Wildlife sites.
