Core Strategy
“Progress on the preparation of the Core Strategy is currently on hold further to the recent Government announcement revoking Regional Spatial Strategies. The Council is to take the opportunity to reconsider its aspirations for the future development of the District and the emerging spatial strategy based on the opportunities now presented to it. It is expected that the Council’s position will be resolved by the end of 2011 and further information will be provided as it becomes available and this will include a revised timetable for delivery.”
What is it?
The Core Strategy is a strategic level document which will provide the spatial planning vision and strategy that will shape the future of North East Derbyshire.
How is the Core Strategy Written?

How can you get involved?
Consultations on the Issues and Options for the Core Strategy took place in May/June 2009. There will be further opportunities to get involved. If you wish to be informed of these consultations directly, please register your details on our database.
