Employment Land Review
Arup and Savills were commissioned in March 2007 by Nottinghamshire County Council in collaboration with Derbyshire County Council and seven district/borough authorities (including North East Derbyshire) to conduct an Employment Land Review for the East Midlands Northern Sub-region. The final report was signed off by all partners in March 2008.
The study has assessed the demand and supply of employment land within the region at both a strategic and local level, taking account of the broad policy context established by the Draft Regional Spatial Strategy. Detailed assessments have been undertaken of both existing and committed employment areas, to assess their performance in terms of commercial viability and attractiveness to the market; planning policy constraints and sustainability.
