Assisted Collection Service
Assisted Collection Service
What happens if I am physically unable to move my bin?
The Council is aware that not everyone will be capable of moving their wheeled bin due to reasons of infirmity and capability. Assisted collections will be available to those who can demonstrate that infirmity or disability prevents them of being capable of moving their bin to a presentation point.
If you wish to apply for an assisted collection please download the Assisted Collection Application Form, found by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. Once completed please return it to the Refuse Collection Service to the address at the bottom of the page.
To process your application quickly we would appreciate supporting information such as Attendance Allowance, Disability Allowance or Mobility Allowance, etc. On completion and return of this application you may be contacted by an officer of the council to arrange a home visit to assess your application.
The Council also offers an assisted collection service for the Blue Box Kerbside Recycling collections. For more information regarding this service or for the application form, visit the Blue Box Scheme Recycling page.
For more information regarding this service please contact:our Clean and Green Line (details at bottom of page).
