Pesticide Disposal
If you have unused pesticides (i.e. weed killers, mosskillers) and wish to dispose of them please visit the Pesticide Disposal Site for information and advice. On accessing the site please click on the 'Midlands and West' part of the UK Map to access to access Derbyshire's arrangements.
Civic Amenity Site facilities
Many Councils have chemical safes at some or all of their household waste sites (also known as civic amenity sites or town dumps).
These facilities are solely for residents of the local council. Residents should make sure pesticide waste is safely packaged (preferably in the original packaging) and the contents clearly labelled.
The pesticide should be presented to the site operator who will place the waste in a separate locked facility.
Collection Services
Derbyshire County Council has a service in place to collect pesticides. This may be arranged by calling:

Alternative to Disposal
Rather than dispose of your unused chemicals, have you considered using the product for the purpose for which it is intended. The product label should give details on this.
