North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw Housing Market Area
What is the Housing Market Area?
In 2005, a report for the East Midlands Regional Assembly and the Regional Housing Board identified North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield, Bolsover and Bassetlaw as a Housing Market Area (ND&B HMA).
It was recognised that these four authorities face many similar issues and are joined by the common factor that their housing markets are all influenced by the major urban areas of Sheffield and Rotherham, located across the regional border.
Newsletter
A newsletter will be published each quarter and will provide key information on the
housing market across the four council areas of Bolsover, Bassetlaw, Chesterfield and
North East Derbyshire. It will provide key statistics on issues such as affordability,
homelessness and housing stock. Each edition of the newsletter will also contain a
‘Focus On’ feature looking at a specific tenure and its role within the HMA. There will also be a ‘News’ section so that you can keep up-to-date with what’s happening in the HMA, whether it’s events, consultation or the publishing of new research.
