MOT Testing Open or Close
Our qualified, experienced technicians can carry out a full MOT test on your vehicle to the highes standard.
Class 4 - £40.00 - Including cars, light commercial vehicles and vehicles carrying up to 8 passengers.
Class 7 - £45.00 - Goods vehicles (over 3,000 kg up to 3,500 kg DGW).
If your vehicle fails its test on a few minor points, we'll retest it for free within 10 working days. If it fails on more serious issues we may charge £15 for the re-test.
MOT tests are carried out by appointment only, contact our transport team now for more information or to make an appointment.
We are a fully authorised VOSA testing station (test station number 63660).

Derbyshire County Council, through ParkSmarter are responsibile for enforcing parking restrictions on the streets of North East Derbyshire District through their Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs). This is known as Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) and they deal with nuisance, illegal and dangerous parking.
Public Transport Open or Close
North East Derbyshire District has a number of operators running bus services within its boundaries. For more detailed information and timetables please use the Public Transport in Derbyshire website where you can search by bus number or location.
Gold Cards allow people to travel free on local buses throughout England (off peak). It gives them discounts at more than 1,300 shops and allows them to borrow at all Derbyshire and Derby city libraries in Derbyshire. To use it as a library card, cardholders will need to activate their membership. They can do this by handing their card to library staff who will register it as a library card.
Anyone born on or after 6 April 1955 will get their Gold Card on their 65th birthday. Check the online calculator to find out when you become eligible for a Gold Card.
Free bus travel applies to trips on local buses anywhere in England at off-peak times. Off-peak is after 9.30am and up to 11.00pm weekdays and at anytime weekends and bank holidays. However, free bus travel does not apply to long-distance express services (such as National Express services), special tours and excursions, nor does it apply in Wales and Scotland.
Before 9.30am weekdays all Gold cardholders will have to pay full fare on the bus. Free bus travel also applies to community transport dial-a-bus services within Derbyshire and Derby City, but this is only available to Derbyshire Residents (Gold Cardholders).

Street Furniture Open or Close
We are responsible for street furniture in the district such as bus shelters, seats and benches. The maintainance of bus shelters across the District is split between ourselves, parish councils and Derbyshire County Council.
We aim to make sure all our bus shelters are safe, clean and in a proper state of repair. Town Centre shelters are cleaned twice weekly and all other shelters are cleaned weekly, i.e. washed, graffiti removed and swept.
We aim to make sure all our seats and benches are safe, clean and in a proper state of repair. If you find a seat or bench damaged or vandalised, then please contact us immeditaley so we can make sure the necessary repairs are carried out.
