Arts Strategy for Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire
The Joint Arts Development Strategy for Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire was approved by both councils in October 2006. This strategy is a partnership project between Arts Council England, Chesterfield Borough Council and North East Derbyshire District Council.
The strategy identifies key themes for development of the arts in the area over the next five years, and has been developed through consultation and partnership between the stakeholders and key players that make up the local arts sector.
This includes the voluntary and amateur arts sector, arts groups, artists, venues, promoters, statutory organisations as well as the many sections and departments of both councils all responsible for contributing to and making the local arts scene.
There will be a launch of the strategy in January 2007 where copies will be available for those who would like one!
