Dicky Tickers Heart Support Group
Heart Support Groups
Dicky Tickers provides exercise and social activity and help to heart patients in recovery. It's also available to people with heart problems who need appropriate exercise.
Our group currently meets three times weekly, for exercise sessions. The sessions consist of games, exercise, water aerobics and the use of the fitness suite.
Provided you have exercised before, are aware of your limitations, and have your doctors approval, exercise is actively encouraged to hopefully help you return to a normal life. Our exercise instructors leading sessions are fully qualified, and many have completed or are studying for the British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation (BACR) phase 4 exercise qualification.
It is also important for carers and family members to go along to the exercise sessions, and join in and attend monthly social meetings and outings. They can support you and get support for themselves from other people in the same situation.
Dicky Tickers Heart Support Group meets at Sharley Park Leisure Centre on:
Mondays: 6.00pm to 7.00pm
Wednesdays: 11.15am to 12.45pm
Fridays: 2.00pm to 3.00pm
If you would like to discuss membership or require any further information please contact the Leisure Centre reception desk.
KEEP ACTIVE........KEEP YOUR TICKER TICKING!
