Sport England is an organisation committed to creating opportunities for people to start in sport, stay in sport and succeed in sport.
Derbyshire Sport
Its aim is to further provision for, and participation in, sport and recreation in Derbyshire and the Peak National Park. The forum also has a Sports Club search facility.
The Forum is a partnership of:
- Derbyshire County Council
- Derby City Council
- The 8 District/Borough Councils in Derbyshire
- The 2 Local Education Authorities
- Peak National Park Authority
- The voluntary sports sector
Active Places
Active Places is a single database that holds information on sports facilities throughout England. It includes local authority leisure facilities, as well as commercial and club sites. Active Places contains information on specific details such as where the facility is, its size, opening times, contact numbers and activities.
Derbyshire Tourism
Welcome to Chesterfield - the town pinpointed on the map of England by the famous 'Crooked Spire' of its Parish Church.
But that isn't the town's only claim to fame, it also hosts one of the largest open-air markets in the country. More than 200 stalls pack the town centre every Monday, Friday and Saturday all year round.

- Provision of the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield Museum, Winding Wheel Conference Centre and five community centres.
- Provision of 41 football pitches; 7 cricket pitches; 7 bowling greens; 1 athletics track; 1 miniature railway; 3 miniature gold putting courses; 1 synthetic games pitches; 6 tennis courts; 69 children's play areas; 1 boating lake; 4 course fishing venues.
