Swimming at Dronfield Sports Centre

There are two pools at Dronfield sports Centre:
A main swimming Pool, 25m x 8.5m; Water depth 1m-2m
A small pool 8.5m x 6m; Water depth 0.5m-0.75m
Both pools are open 7 days a week and cater for a wide range of activities including:
- Casual swimming
- School swimming
- Women only sessions
- Adults Only
- Lane Swimming
- Aquacise
- Aquafun
- Swim Stars Swimming Lessons.
The Small Pool is used extensively for swimming instruction at various levels. additional classes take place in the Main Pool in the evening using one or more lanes.
The temperature of the Main Pool is normally set at 84 degrees and the small Pool at 87 degrees.
During the Winter months from October to March , a 'WARM WATER DAY' is promoted on a Tuesday and the Main Pool temperature is increased to 86/87 degrees.
