Car Parks
North East Derbyshire District Council operates 20 car parks within the following areas: Clay Cross, Dronfield, Eckington, Killamarsh. Further information on the location of each car park, how many spaces are available and whether they are shortstay or longstay can be found in our car park directory.
Park Mark®
Some of our car parks have achieved the Park Mark® Safer Parking Award. This means that they have been assessed by the Police and have measures in place to deter criminal activity, creating a safer environment for both you and your vehicle. Visit http://www.saferparking.co.uk/ for more information.
Wardens
A Car Park Warden patrols all of the car parks on a regular basis offering assistance to the general public and monitoring the restricted parking regulations. Parking restrictions are also enforced by the Car Park Warden with a fine of £30:
- A vehicle that has exceeded the maximum waiting period
- A vehicle not parked correctly in marked bay
- A vehicle causing an obstruction
- A vehicle parked in a disabled bay without displaying a valid Disabled Person's parking badge
It is an offence under Section 35a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the driver of a vehicle to fail to comply with these provisions.
In addition to the Council's power to make the excess charge, we may also arrange for the vehicle to be removed
